While I must concur with previous assertions of this thread, I feel there are several points of adorability that have been neglected or disdained. As such, I shall now proceed to espouse those points.
Point, the First: The similarity of dress implies a uniform decorum, leading to thoughts and implications of innocence, a lack of personal responsibility, and other aspects of the schoolgirl motif. Further, the lack of visible undergarments lends an air of unprotectedness while also giving an aura of coquettishness. Simultaneously, the disdain of buttoning gives implications of relaxation and nudism, both having profound statements towards the adorable and sexy nature. The earlier mentioned motif of innocence, combined with the deep blushes, however, pull the implication of undress away from the more sultry regards. Thus, adorability and possessiveness and possibly protectiveness are evoked by their manner of dress.
Point, the Second: The entwinement of the pair lends a sense of mutualism betwixt them. This collective approach makes them a couple, rather than two individuals, and helps showcase their responses to one another as well as their combined approach towards the audience. The entwining of their fingers suggest a mutual endearment, while the possessive stroking of the hair of the girl on the left by the girl on the right suggests a dominant role in the relationship, borne out by her more exposed cleavage and the positioning of her legs. This relationship, combined with their acknowledgment of the audience in both body language (their bodies addressing the viewer) and eye position (staring out at the fourth wall, not averting their eyes) shows implicit assent towards the viewer, displaying them as a package deal, so to speak.
Point, the Third: The whites in the background are trimmed in blue, giving emphasis to the skin tones and especially contrasting with the blush and orange/blonde hair of the girl on the left. The girl on the right seems to fade more into the background, which combined with her more dominant posture and positioning, implies control over the scenario. This enhances the innocence of the girl on the left, while being not so overdone as to detract from
